Melissa Cheok and John Chuang, co-founders of boxbabble, are parents of kids with food allergies. We train our kids to read the fine print on food package labels.

In our conversations with neighbors and friends, we learned that many people care a great deal about what they eat, even if they have no dietary restrictions, but struggle with all the confusing babble on product boxes.

At the same time, we as parents are frustrated by the lack of tools that allow us to easily discover or search for food products for our kids.

So, we put together our expertise in software engineering and information management to develop boxbabble. We combine data from multiple sources to create a unique resource not found elsewhere on the web. We hope boxbabble will become the indispensable tool for all consumers who care about what they feed themselves and their family.
